Drew Sample

I agree.

I am very curious to see what the Bengals are going to do in terms of potentially helping the offensive line and pass protection with that being Eric Dahl, with that being Drew Sample, with that being, you know, Samajit Pirine is another guy that's in pass pro and he missed some practice time this week

with, I hope he doesn't have what I have or something, you know,

but I think it was an illness or something like that.

He can give you spike weeks here and there, but no real change in how much he played.

They have Drew Sample as their starting tight end.

They're blocking tight end, ran almost as many routes as Gasecki.

They also have Eric Ahl, who's a fan favorite, young guy making a recovery from multiple ACL surgeries.

Yeah, defensive ends, probably the best tandem in the NFL at defensive end, along with two good corners, which that helps each other.

But what are your thoughts on that matchup and containing them? And what are some ways maybe the Bengals will look to? slow those guys down, whether that be with Drew Sample, Eric Dahl, et cetera.

And I don't care who starts this one.

We all say Mims is all pro.

He's going to get his chance to prove it.

I feel like they're probably going to start off with just Mims and see if he can handle Will Anderson, but maybe they throw in Eric Hall or Drew Sample to help him out.

Chase Brown caught 5 of 6 for 22 yards.

Drew Sample caught all 3, 3 of 3 for 19 yards.

Dante Myers, not only did he get in on the running action, but he caught his only target, 1-of-1 for 18 yards.

Jamar Chase was extremely quiet.

And the Bengals should be able to do that with Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins.

They also should probably, even though we want them to win the one-on-one matchups, don't be afraid to to have Drew Sample and some of these guys, Samadri Piran, help with Max Protect and Chip.

It's only going to help the Bengals.

There's no reason to not.

I think he motioned a little bit before the snap.

But with Eric Allback playing now, Drew Sample, don't you think they kind of have – the bodies to be more of a 13 personnel team if they wanted to dabble in it.

And, and I think this would be the matchup to really see that.

They do drew sample Tanner Hudson.

You know, they, those guys, and I'm glad you mentioned, I recall too.

Well, that was one of the thing a couple of years ago, I wrote about it was, you know, more backfield runs and, you know, it's a great way to attack what these types of defenses want to do, where they want to cap you.

You'll see him at fullback.

You'll see Drew Sample in the backfield.

You'll see Samaj P. Ryan.

So they are comfortable with different guys doing different things with.

Drew Sample is probably one of the more underrated players.

in the entire NFL yeah I underrated him because I hated that pick as a second round pick when they took him I'm like this is a sixth round guy but now he's been with the Bengals for eight nine ten years whatever it's been and he's had a hell of a career and he's a guy who just you can rely on to – he's like an extra lineman.

So you can use him in that way.

And then Gusecki's basically a big slot receiver most of the time.
