How much or in what ways have you grown as a quarterback since the last time you got extended run in a game like this a couple years back?
4:08
Yeah.
4:11
I'd say it's an interesting question because I've definitely grown.
4:15
I've learned a lot about football.
4:18
But having an opportunity on a team like this.
4:23
can shift your mindset.
4:25
Um, knowing the type of defense that we have, there's no, there's no rush to push the ball down the field.

Can you describe all that goes through your head

Here, before we get to the first half, what kind of pall over the whole night was that injury right away that Bud Clark and then Mason Richards got?
0:12
Yeah.
0:13
That's the one thing you obviously try to avoid as much as you can in the preseason games.
0:21
It is the life of football, though, but for those two guys, Bud coming in and working as hard as he has, figuring the system out, finally getting comfortable have something like that i don't know what happened but it was serious enough to you know get carted off and then even mason man i was just giving him props i forgot who i was talking to the other day about how good he's been this this camp and how versatile he is we had a couple guys go down um in that uh joint practice against them and mason who'd been running center and guard all camp just popped a tackle and didn't notice anything just a versatile guy that I think has a really bright future in this league, and it's tough for him.
1:04
Again, not sure what happened to him, but I hope it's not terrible.

Me and Jalen have a lot of good talks.
4:41
I think for him, the thing that I've experienced in my career is just continuing to find ways to get to the next play.
4:51
Just clear your head, no matter if it was your fault, somebody else's fault.

What have you thought of the summer, he said?
1:02
Yeah, he should have made two today if I don't overthrow him on that ball on the left sideline.
1:09
He's had a great summer.
1:10
He's had a great summer.
1:11
I think I said it.
1:14
I forgot who I was saying it to, but you know, the journey he's been on from the previous year till now, man, he's light years away from where he was and he's been fantastic for us.
1:25
Makes great plays, explosive with the ball in his hand, reliable.

5:01
Yeah,
38:20
Do you, do you have sort of a checklist for the off-season?
38:23
Yeah.
38:23
I mean, I feel like it's, uh, I feel like it's definitely adapted over the years.
38:27
Um, I feel like for me now within the last, especially this last one, was more about just being extremely, like, physically ready.
38:36
Running, lifting, working Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 2:00.
38:43
Simulating kind of a, a normal training camp day is how long I'd be, be working out, throwing.
38:49
Regulating throws to try to be as much as a training camp day would be.
40:30
Do you approach him, or do you just kinda stand back and let him come to you with any questions? How do you, how do you handle that role?
