Johnny Lawless could easily have been tweaked like Dredger or One-Eyed Jack into a more military background.

So as I say, Tornado could have been merged into battle action at the time as well.

But anyway, I digress.

The action stories that were moved into battle were the Spinball Wars, Dredger and Hellman, the early adventures as opposed to the beginning and then... went on to become a hell man on the Russian front.

So action was actually dropped from the cover of the comic with the 1st of August 1981 issue, which was the first battle comic to have the splash page of the story on the cover, as opposed to a... a typical cover.

So from that point on, the covers to Battle Action, or Battle as it was then, became basically either Johnny Red or Charlie's War.

We lost covers with really any other character.

I've heard the buzz about him not being ready for training camp.

It certainly seems like especially with the Dredger PTO, that that's a possibility.

Was aware of the two hips, that it was both, not one.

Not quite sure why that wasn't made clear just from a media relations PR standpoint, given how things tend to come out, why you wouldn't just be up front with it.
