I'm going to be honest, Brandon, even though Figment is remembered nostalgically, I do think the move is to reboot it.

I think it's to bring back Dreamfinder into a new story in some capacity, but it has to be good, right? And that is where the bar is going to be set really high.

Imagineering needs to think of some things that they haven't done before.

And this is also going to be an opportunity to bring in people who Don't have that same history.

But in this statement and in various other announcements, DeMauro was elevating this slightly, the importance of the fan feedback loop in terms of how the company would make decisions moving forward.

Figment and Dreamfinder were clearly included in the presentation that night because Journey into Imagination, at least in terms of the Florida fan base, has been a top request for years and years.

But in doing this, and in talking about the unofficial mayor of Main Street from DeMauro's official position as CEO, he was also gesturing to fans that his stance, at least towards the Parks, would be slightly different than that of his predecessor, Bob Iger.

In this, he was saying to Park fans, I come from your world, not the world of Hollywood.

No.

But Figment and Dreamfinder and stuff are part of it or?

Loosely.

Loosely? I mean, that would be, again, kinda dumb, but I still think it-

I mean, that's gonna be a mass overhaul, so when that project's done, I'm sure it's gonna be really nice.

And then, uh, I think the one that, like, gets most Disney nerds most excited is that they are gonna bring, uh, Dreamfinder, which is a character of the original Figment ride.

The, you know, the, the, like, Disney enthusiasts say it was the best when Figment and Dreamfinder were together.

Figment of the Imagination allegedly sucks.

I've never been on a ride with a Dreamfinder, but I've always loved the Figment ride.

So apparently this is gonna make it a ton better.

Um, you know, if that's what it takes to m- make people appreciate the Figment ride again, I guess that's cool.

It took me longer than it should to realize that was Neil Patrick Harris.

as dressed as Dreamfinder.

I was like, who is that? That looks familiar.

How often do we hear these rumors? Probably the past three D23s, people have been saying that's got to be the next thing, and it just never happened.

And then they do it, and it's just like a quick, cool, Dreamfinder's coming.

At the very beginning of the, the entire show, uh, Neil Patrick Harris is, like, draped in, like, this thing, and then, like, they open it up, and he's like, "Hey, we can't end the show without talking about my favorite re- re- the return of my favorite character." And he's dressed as Dreamfinder holding a Figment.
