In reality, Dreamcatchers are associated the sleeper from nightmares here they do the opposite each one draws Kowalski deeper into a memory and delivers pieces of a message called the wicked one the wicked one is depicted through cult like language imagery one possible interpretation is that the figure represents with the cultist standing in for the criminals who serve him but the wicked one is larger than Jim alone it also represents the profession and the part of Kowalski that has accepted both the cult imagery matters because Kowalski's relationship is an initiation he begins as an outsider believes he is completing one job for his daughter he's tested through the spa not to question what he sees and eventually becomes essential to the organization it reframes the process of uh police imagery barred room cells locked gates and surveillance equipment appear repeatedly as well sorry but in his nightmares but his nightmares imprisoned him anyway and the fear is not only that police will catch him it's that he already has trapped himself inside a life he can't like escape um the first nightmare returns to rob's apartment um you know in the the nightmare the body count rises to 13 body spill out of the dealer's apartment in the courtyard basketball apartment rooftop and attic the dead don't necessarily represent like 10 additional victims robbed secretly spreading outward from Kowalski's first decision the original crime no longer can be contained inside apartment 23 Dreamcatchers appear throughout the expanded location.

A Polaroid camera puzzle requires Kowalski to photograph several areas before and the mechanic mirrors that that mechanic mirrors what he refused to do in reality.

Investigation would photograph and preserve the scene.

It is divided into a sequence of halls Kowalski to activate another generator and move further into the building.

This

relative simplicity allows the Dreamcatchers to become the main event.
