The check with me is at the line of scrimmage, his ability to go to Drake Metcalf, give out the front so they can maneuver and audible and change things.

But that comes from coaching as well, understanding that, yo, we can't limit what Bo can do.

So with this 12 personnel look into the boundary, those safeties and those offenders have to protect that boundary.

And I mean, his 47 yard touchdown was just great, right? He created a whole lot of nothing.

He just it was remarkable watching that he went between Ben York and drake metcalf and he made himself a hole and he just broke through i mean that's what xavier brown will give you

But effectively, Ja'Kale Middlebrooks was the running back in the game on all of these snaps.

The way things worked is the center, Drake Metcalf, stayed blocking with the defensive lineman.

And Middlebrooks was thus left having to figure out which of the two either linebackers or linebacker and safety he would go block.

And that would leave the other guy a free runner.

If you look at pro football focus, I believe Monroe Mills is one of the highest graded offensive linemen in the country.

And Drake Metcalf is the highest graded center across the country.

And if you even look a little deeper in pro football focus, you see that Virginia's run game success is due to the O-line, especially running right behind Drake Metcalf or to the left with him and Noah Josie, their left guard.

Those guys have been doing a tremendous job making Virginia a running team.

By you being able to run the ball, what do you open up? You open up the passing game.

I mean, Monroe Mills and McKeelan Thomas, which is who the two guys on your right at tackle and guard respectively, those guys were hurt last year, decided to come back.

Drake Metcalf was the right guard.

He moved to center after Brady Wilson graduated.

And then the guys on your left, Mikhail Boli and Noah Josie, have been playing together for, I think, four years.
