making the LAPD into some sort of super unit that was clean and pristine and all the rest of that.

So I think that's ultimately what it is, is that a temptation becomes such that when you're in those situations and there's nobody running or monitoring you or willing to... call you out, the temptation oftentimes becomes too great to cross the line and go from good guy to corrupt public servant.

Because I want to hear about the other movies she's in.

When Alfred Prater collapses during dinner and dies, what first appears to be a heart attack and accidental fall brings Los Angeles Homicide to the Prater home.

Sergeant Joe Friday and Officer Frank Smith find that the accounts within the family do not fully agree, and a statement from Prater's young son sends the inquiry in a new direction.

January 12th, 1954 brought NBC listeners episode 230 of Dragnet, The Big Switch.

Jack Webb is Detective Sergeant Joe Friday, joined by Ben Alexander as Officer Frank Smith.

Their homicide detail investigation begins when Mona Fenton is found unconscious in a low-cost hotel room with the gas turned on.

What appears at first to be an attempted suicide leads Friday and Smith to examine the hotel registration and the circumstances surrounding an unidentified man connected with the room.

Virginia Gregg, Victor Rodman, and Gene Tatum are heard in the supporting cast.
