A little story behind this 90s classic.

It's My Life was released in 1992 and became one of Dr. Alban's biggest international hits.

And here's a fun fact, before becoming a music star, Dr. Alban was actually studying to become a dentist in Sweden, while working as a DJ to support himself.

And actually, as, as we'll find out a bit later on in this episode, this, this Green Play strand which this appeared in inevitably was under threat, um, this year as well, so, but we'll get to that in a bit.

Let's remind ourselves of what was happening in pop culture in September 1992, and this was the month when the UK pop charts were dominated by The Shamen with Ebenezer Goode, Snap!'s Rhythm Is a Dancer, Undercover's Baker Street, Dr. Alban's It's My Life, and Luther Vandross and Janet Jackson with The Best Things in Life Are Free.

In the breakfast slot, we had Simon Mayo on Radio 1 while Brian Hayes was coming to the end of his run on Radio 2.

Cassie had the R&B hit Me & U back in 2006.

Dr. Alban was born in 1959, big Eurodance performer.

He had the chart-topping single back in the '90s called It's My Life.

Fred Milano was born in 1939, the second tenor in the 1950s vocal doo-wop group Dion and the Belmonts.
