Doyle Dykes

But the fall semester, I took a full load and one of the classes I took was sermon delivery or sermon preparation.

The preparation of sermons by Dr. Wayne McDill, who is a dear friend to this day.

He taught me so much.

It was a very difficult class and it was a four-hour class.

That, that's not what church is.

Uh, and, and to confuse those two, we're in the entertainment business, uh, that's just not, uh, that's, that's not a proper, uh, depiction of what Jesus did.

I talked to my friend, Dr. Paige Patterson, theologian Dr. Paige Patterson, who has, uh, taught preachers for decades how to preach and how to communicate the Word of God, and he said...

I told him about what the topic was today and wanted him to come on.

Yeah.

We, we have emceed shows with, uh, Doyle Dykes, one of the best, uh, finger style guitar players on the planet.

We've emceed a number of shows there, and the acoustics are just wonderful.

The sight lines are impeccable.
