Downtown Denton Transit Center

Anyway, let's begin the tour.

So starting at Downtown Denton Transit Center, you can see first off this absolutely adorable little station and then there are also a few bus bays on the adjacent road making transfers absolutely seamless.

This is about a couple hundred meters to the east of downtown Denton and you just simply take Hickory or Sycamore Street and then go west.

But what's really interesting is you can see a whole other railroad main line going through town.

Now I don't have any evidence for this, and I of course forgot to take a picture, but the first time I visited Denton way back in I believe twenty twenty-two, I do believe there was at least one turnout connecting the DMU branch line, uh, to the freight main line.

Or at the very least, even if it wasn't in existence while the DMU was in operation, clearly at some point the branch was connected to the main line here.

Anyway, upon leaving Downtown Denton Transit Center we have some single track running through some fairly verdant scenery which you can see here, of course with the bike trail paralleling the DMU.

I honestly just love here how it's just simple grass fields.
