Downtown Boys

Oh, wow.

With his brother, Joe, who is also in the wonderful Downtown Boys.

What's really cool about Land is that the board is, and everything about Land is all volunteer, but especially the board is comprised of just like all walks of life.

You've got like teenagers who are more tapped into the like on the ground younger scene.

It's been a minute.

But it's just, you know, it started in 2017, pretty informally.

I think it was their first show was Downtown Boys.

And they, you know, just had the show at the basement of this old schoolhouse.

it might, you know, change the dynamic for the four of you.

I spoke with Downtown Boys for the podcast recently, and they spoke of, you know, even though they were getting to a certain level, it never occurred to them that they wouldn't have to work.

You know, they'd still have to do nine to fives and what have you.

Is that kind of like a similar feeling held within the band that, you know, it's kind of a good thing that you don't have to, you know, rely on it and it doesn't have to be the source of income.

I like that they made some recommendations that I hadn't seen in a lot of the other lists.

So some of those different recs included Another Drink by Kelsey Ballerini and Marshmello, Bring Your Love by Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter, Club to Your Arms by Rose Gray, Dansteria by Madonna, If You Want to Party, Come Over to My House by Fuckers, Look at My Life by Gracie Abrams, Love Sensation by Madonna, Pop Sound by Kim Petras, and Yellow Sun by Downtown Boys.

Again, a decent bit of these songs I had never heard of.

I'm shocked.
