Thank you for coming to Downsview.

Now, it's so hard to introduce you because you're a professor.

You've played reggae with just about everybody in the reggae world that I can even imagine, and even written multiple books, including the history on Canadian reggae.

But we're going to start with how on earth did you, as a kind of part Scottish, Canadian guy, end up being like Mr. Reggae?

I grew up here in Downsview, Ontario.

And when I was growing up, Downsview had one of the highest concentrations of Jamaican expats in the world.

And that had a profound effect on my childhood and my friendships and everything.

But if you have seen any of the images of the damage to Rogers Stadium, it's not that much of a surprise.

And like some people actually think maybe there was sort of a micro storm in embedded in the storm that we all endured that struck at Downsview because the stadium, the damage is absolutely devastating.

So the engineers came in and they took a close look at things and said, OK, this is this is a much bigger job than we thought it was going to be.

And clearly we're not going to be able to do it.

What he wants is the assembly jobs for the planes, which the global, uh, series are, um, assembled in Mississauga.

They were in Toronto at Downsview.

That, now they're in Mississauga.

And, uh, the Challengers are assembled in Montreal.

All right, these are

dramatic pictures of Rogers Stadium up at Downsview, and this is remarkable.

I saw some of the seats that had been displaced.

I didn't realize those winds had just basically come in and taken metal and used it as a sail, just lifting the whole thing up and bending it with the ferocity of the winds yesterday.

So I'm refereeing, hosting, traffic copping round two.

And I look up at the screen and it was the first time that CP24 had flown over the Rogers Stadium at Downsview.

And it was astounding.

And probably for you yesterday, hitting the road, when I was driving home, it's funny, on my way in in the morning, there were no downed trees.

I would think.

There's gonna, there's gonna need [laughs] to be a little bit of construction going on up at Downsview before AC/DC tries to rock the house.

Like, do you think that it'll be ready to go by then? Uh, September the 16th, like, next Saturday.
