Bill Bartlett is driving along a dark country road when something catches his eye near a stone wall.

Then, just as suddenly as it appeared, the sighting stopped.

CBS News, a 1970s sighting of a spooky creature put Dover, Massachusetts on the map internationally.

Today, the legend of the Dover Demon still lives on.

The Dover Demon was reported to have pale, fleshy-toned skin, long fingers, bright glowing orange eyes, Dover Historical Society board member and director Liz Fallon said.

The day before the sighting, April 20th, April 20th, Austrian painter's birthday.

That's right, I have facts today.

And if you don't know by now, I'm bringing you the Dover Demon.

And these people that saw the unicorn, they drew the same exact thing when they saw it after dark.

Did they hear it fart? That's probably what got their attention.

If a unicorn farts in the dark and no one's around to hear it, does it make a sound? Much like the Dover Demon, if he farts in the woods and no one's around to hear it, does it make a sound? And the answer's yes, because that little pale slime ball definitely has a butthole the size of Tucson that it's coming out of-

It was sighted in the 1970s in Dover, Massachusetts.

For 48 terrifying hours in April 1977, the quiet wooded town of Dover, Massachusetts, which is a short drive from where I'm sitting right now, became the setting for one of the most bizarre and compelling cryptid encounters on record.

The creature, quickly dubbed the Dover Demon, was not a hairy beast or a swamp monster, but something utterly alien that appeared briefly, terrified several credible witnesses, and then seemingly vanished forever.

The entire saga unfolded through three distinct sightings.

The first occurred on the night of April 21st, when 17-year-old Bill Bartlett and his friends were driving down Farm Street.

Okay, what about Dover Demon?

Ugh, approximately four-foot-tall humanid- humanoid creature with glowing eyes.

Now, this is also wonderfully a, a, a humanoid creature that runs around on all fours.

I mean, they're subverting expectations in a really fun way.
