Douglas Valentine

This was their idea of terror guerrilla warfare.

On record, I've read, but we've done a whole talk on, uh, Douglas Valentine's book on the Phoenix program.

And then these are the guys that are coming back with, uh, you know, C-A-N-N-I-B-A-L type tendencies, right? Well, guess what? That's the type of stuff that they were taught and mastered in these programs.

And I wish that Douglas Valentine had spent more time kind of elucidating.

I think he spends like two, he spends like two pages on what they were actually taught to do, which included, um, dismembering things, uh, the worst stuff you could imagine, because they wanted to give the impression to the Viet Cong, you know, Buddhist-minded people, whatever played to their superstitions.

That was the whole idea.
