Doug Yule

Like, for instance, right before this episode, I was listening to the third Velvet Underground album, The First Side.

which is a little weird because it opens up with Doug Yule singing.

And I have to say, an overlooked track I never really pay much attention to, but then when I hear it, I'm like, this is the last song on that side, Jesus.

It's just really plaintive, even though I don't really know what that word means, but I feel like it fits somehow.

So, if the fall up to 1985 is a 10-course Paul Bocuse tasting menu, then shoulder pads is the necessary glass of water and light lemon mousse to accent all that richness.

I really like the David Bowie story about getting fooled by Doug Yule.

I hope it is real.

I probably would too.
