Doug Martsch

How did you go about finding these guys? I do

things like I'd go to the local record shop and be like, you know, the guy at the counter, Dylan, who would be like, Oh, you like, you like built to spill and modest mouse, like check out the halo benders, you know, it's Doug Marsh and Calvin doing these pop songs, like check this out or, and then, I would go online and just look up whatever K records or any label like that.

Like just if anyone was coming through Boston, if anyone was touring through, I would just, uh, you know, find my way to them.

And a lot of the shows that, you know, guys like little wings or the microphones or Mira were playing at the time, they were all like playing a lot of, house shows or art galleries.
