Dottie Rambo

And I understand.

There's only one Dottie Rambo songwriter of the century.

But Gloria Gaither also won songwriter of the century.

Bill and Gloria Gaither.

I believe it.

Of course, there's

one Dottie Rambo, she's so anointed, but so is Reba.

That's amazing.

Now, this is one that you did as a song of the week last year.

This was written by Dottie Rambo.

And she was a member of her family musical group, was called the Rambos.

And they had done a version of this back in, I think you said 1968.

Um, but she was, uh, with the, sang with The Rambos, uh, which was a gospel, you know, famous gospel, uh, uh, uh, family, um, band in the '60s and '70s.

Dottie Rambo wrote, like, 3,000 songs.

I mean, um, uh, any- anybody that was into gospel music that long ago know exactly who they are.

But anyway, so I, I had a really cool mix because my dad had the entrepreneurial part- My mom had kind of the, um, the flair, you know, and the, uh, some might call the drama.

And so we did a full cassette of some of the primary writers in gospel music.

Bill Gaither and Bill and Gloria and Dottie Rambo.

And we did an Albert E. Brumley cassette.

We sang nothing but Albert Brumley.

I mean, we know where they come from, but I mean, sometimes you wonder.

How did I even think of that to write that down? You know, I don't know how that works.

There are lines that I'm what's that Dottie Rambo song about the bars of bone hold my soul talking about our flesh.

Yeah.
