Speaking of sitcoms though, we also have a small role here by Doris Roberts, who was the mother from Everybody Loves Raymond, who I also clocked as I was watching.

Oh, okay.

I saw what she was credited as.

I mean, to me, it's like my class with Milton was a master class.

There were people who were had series people who had Doris Roberts was in the class.

She had like four Emmys.

There were people who got asked because you got to keep that instrument moving.

You don't think it does.

That sounds

like a very nerve wracking, intense class of Doris Roberts is in it, Gloria Gifford.

But all these people, Jamie Cromwell, who had nominated for an Oscar for that Babe movie and Tony Danza.

actors hear the response of the audience and it is go time.

It is, man, Peter Boyle just nails it, you know, and Doris Roberts nailed it and they just, Raymond just brings it and they're feeding off of the live audience and you can't replace that, you know? I mean, it's, you can't deny that and we used to love it.

And in the Season 2 premiere, it said she married a trombone player and moved to New York.

So how do they replace this receptionist and other employee? Well, they do it with, that's right, Everybody Loves Raymond's mother, Doris Roberts, as Mildred Krebs.

Mildred is old, but she's super smart, very tenacious, very feisty, and that's because she's a former IRS agent who becomes the secretary and receptionist.

The other sort of main cast member is Jack Scalia.

And that's because James Reed was unhappy with the direction of his character and came up with the idea that the two characters could be combined into one.

And so he wrote the replacement character, Mildred Krebs, as an attractive 35-year-old woman who was a rival for Steele's affections.

But Doris Roberts, an established character actress who had recently won an Emmy for a guest role.

And you know her from Everybody Loves Raymond and many other things.

Yeah.

I'm, I'm pretty certain the episode of, of, um, All in the Family when Edith and Archie have a fight, and she says she's gonna walk out and go to the bar and leave him there, and the first time she is in the bar and she meets, um, him, and Doris Roberts.

Apparently, apparently Scott Brady dated Gwen Verdon.
