I mean, what the heck is a functional dietistic, diagnostic nutrition practitioner and certified hair tissue? Even though at this point...
4:50
Thank you.
4:51
So excited to be here.
4:52
So excited to share my drink too.
4:53
I made an adrenal cocktail, which I thought was timely, but it's also something that I drink all the time.
4:59
And it might be helpful to you.
5:00
I wish I could reach in a screen and hand it over to you.

So how come, why do you think that bubble exists? Like, why are so many women going untreated? Like, how do they even start to unravel this? Because conventional medicine isn't exactly like coming in on the white horse to say this at this point.
2:38
So what inspired you to do this kind of work?
2:41
Yeah, I'm a functional diagnostic nutrition and that means that I run a lot of labs.
2:45
So what we do is the medical model looks at what's going wrong and then they give you medication surgery or whatever to fix it.
2:53
And with functional diagnostic nutrition, we look at why the symptom is showing up.
2:58
And so if we go back to, I was helping my dad through end of life, doing all the midlife stuff, right? Helping him through midlife, his end of life.
3:05
And I was helping my mom transition after we lost him.
3:09
And then I became a single mom, was running my own practice and doing all the things.
6:17
And it's really hard to figure out what do I need to do? What do you mean by minerals?

We're not looking at them as isolated moments in our timeline, which I think is really important because most of the time as a caregiver, we are constantly fighting for holistic recognition for our loved ones, but then we don't stop and say, Maybe I need holistic
26:40
recognition for my body and for how things are.
26:43
So trained on who you're caring for.
26:45
And definitely we all know that statistic that the person who's a carer often gets sick and sometimes ends up worse.
26:51
I mean, when I was doing all the labs, my fiancé and her husband at the time was diagnosed with cancer.
26:57
terminal condition.
26:58
And by the time he's got stabilized, I looked at my labs and they were worse than his.

And I'd love to ask, how do you help women find a path that is sustainable for a caregiving life that doesn't add more load or complexity but gives them a space to nourish themselves?
