Um, Dorfromantik, that's on the list.

You know, it's obviously one of the Spiel des Jahres, so who am I to say it's junk? But [laughs] I, I, uh, didn't find it to be that compelling to play.

Like, it's just a sit there and place a tile like kind of game.

It's better to have a demo than to, like, make you get the game, play for an hour and a half, and have to return it if you don't like it.

It's good, but I prefer the Battlestar Galactica because I had that familiar familiarity with the IP and, And I think that's really neat.

I'm glad that they're looking at video games to bring in popular titles and even things like Dorf Romantic.

I guess that originally was a video game.

time or a thing whereas limited communication is just we're trying to convey a message essentially like in just one it's a it's a single word um you know just one i'm trying to get you to guess just one word and there is a very harsh arbitrary restriction stopping me from doing that and magic maze also falls in this category where if we could just move the guy there's no game whatsoever but we are limited by like the actions are split up between us and we can't just say like hey aj you need to move left twice we need to communicate using the passive aggressive token The third type of co-op is what inspired our episode about it, which is stuff like Beacon Patrol or Dorf Romantic, where you're not limited by communication.

The original against the game kind of co-op, I discovered, has a very strict formula that all the successful games kind of use.

a cozy co-op is the third type of co-op where you don't have a strict formula you're following nor are you limited by communication it's just have fun playing this game have fun maximizing the elements of this game and then get a score at the end and feel good about how well you did

But yeah, like, uh, that, that was my first inspiration.

Then, uh, a lot of it, too, was from this other indie game called the Dorfromantik, which is like this, um, this game where you gotta like place tiles and like build a city.

It's kind of like a city builder.

And, uh, it's got a 96% on Steam with, like, 16,000 reviews.

So if you're into things like Dorfromantik or, uh, Star Birds, which is another great game of s- of sort of minimalist graphics-
