Donovan King

Haunted Montreal has made her one of the central stories on its Griffintown tour, calling Mary the city's most infamous ghost.

Donovan King, an Irish Montreal historian and founder of Haunted Montreal, has also tried to make sure Mary and the community she came from have a permanent place in Griffintown.

He has called on the city of Montreal to turn the corner of William and Murray into a small commemorative park, one that would recognize Mary's story and the Irish families who once filled the surrounding streets.

King's efforts are part of a larger attempt to preserve what remains of Irish Griffintown.
