Donnie Freeman

Sadiq White was a positive for Syracuse basketball.

He's going to be the starting four this season now that there's no more Donnie Freeman.

He's at St. John's.

Best wishes on his recovery from that torn Achilles he suffered.

Combine him with Ian Jackson, Tunde Yasufu.

Sucks they don't have Donnie Freeman, but, man, I love what the team's looking like this year.

And he's built two seeds out of teams with less talent to me than Quinn Ellis and Tunde and Ian Jackson.

So, honestly, the Donnie Freeman thing, I'm not a Donnie Freeman guy.

I kind of think they dodged a bullet trying to work him into all of this.

So I've seen Jordan live since he was a freshman at, at PVI.

He was the guy who was on that team with like Pat Gamba, and I think Donnie Freeman was on that team.

And, and, um, he went from this guy who was like this 6'2" wing who sometimes would play like as a small ball four because he was so long, so strong, and so tough, to, um, I said very openly last year that like Tyrese Stokes is the best prospect in the country, made him number one, but I voted and thought it was appropriate that Jordan Smith won the Naismith High School Player of the Year Award because he was the most impactful high school player in the country.

Um-

But there's question marks up and down the roster, Greg, with St. John's just because you don't know who's going to be eligible, who's not.

And like you said, Keyshawn Hall, is he going to be somebody that steps up? Donnie Freeman goes down with an injury.

He was expected to be one of the best players.

So we'll see.

I'm going with St. John's.

I've got a lot of question marks with the St. John's team.

Donnie Freeman is now out for the season.

They did a nice job replacing him with Tonde Yasufu.

Yeah, they're banged up already too.

You know, they were expecting to have a nice little front court pairing too with having Donnie Freeman there, and now all of a sudden Donnie Freeman's out for the year and...

Yeah, it, it, it's gonna be, um, I'm right there with you.

I have the same question as with St. John's, like, all right, who's, who's setting the table? You got two bucket getting off ball guards in the back court.

to remember

was Josh second team last year and Freeman was first or something and and Jackson was also uh third last year and uh i do not remember at all graves i think was also i think we got four in the top three or in the in the preseason first second and third teams i was looking at that last week so i might be missing miss remembering the specific teams but um but yeah so i don't know maybe maybe it's just like i said they got burned by creighton last year picking them third in the conference and picking a bunch of players to get um all but you know big east honors but Yeah, somewhat surprised by the two that were that were picked there.

It's probably one of those things to where some of this transfer talk warps your perception on players in a way that it doesn't for coaches.

Like we keep thinking of Oswin as this like project big, I think.

And actually it turns out like, yes, no, Sanford turns into a monster.

Dix, you know, million reasons why he struggled last year, but wasn't the player we hoped he could be.

And Freeman was just a zero.

So is it going to be like that this year where between B.J. Davis, Miles Bird, Magoon Guath, like one of those guys just doesn't have it? I love this
