I love Donna.

In fact, I've debated whether I should even continue to include a substantial news segment.

in the podcast because the dark shadows news page does such a great job of posting timely news and with the podcast there's lag time it takes me a while to get one of these out you know so it might be better just to kind of quickly do the news segment we'll see with social media it's instantaneous you can get that news very quickly whereas on the podcast there's a bit of a delay you know sometimes two or three weeks where you won't hear about something but anyway i do have some news here more guests have been announced for the halloween at collinwood event taking place at lyndhurst the historic tarrytown new york estate used in the dark shadows movies this will be happening on october 31st saturday on halloween itself the mansion will host a day of activities with catherine lee scott marie wallace donna mckechnie subject to work commitments donna wandry and dan curtis's daughter kathy curtis as well as grayson and sam hall's son matt hall so uh link is in the show notes as always other big news pbs will celebrate dark shadows next year with a two-hour special set to debut in march 2027.

And so that was Donna McKechnie, Byrick Lee, and Julianne Stites created and originated those roles.

Wow.

Yeah.

He was a drama student at the Goodman Theater in Chicago, and I was a drama student at Northwestern in Evanston.

We met at a party for the... wonderful Donna McKechnie, who's the star of A Chorus Line and so many Broadway shows, whatever.

And we're both insane baseball fans.

I'm a Met fan.

And so that year we had Elaine Stritch came and sang Broadway Baby to them.

And we had Donna McKechnie come with Terry Ralston.

And the kids choreographed What Will We Do Without You for them.

And we had Sutton Foster came for Anyone Can Whistle.
