Donkey Kong Land

And we were, I remember we were at like some sort of like truck stop fuel, you know, gas station kind of rest stop place.

um on the way and it was a long drive maybe 10 or so hours and they were selling game boys there and i remember just like begging my dad i've got a younger brother charles and we were just like begging him like will you buy us a game boy i think in his mind he's like well this will definitely shut them up you know in the back seat and so he did and we got with donkey kong

oh

my gosh a yellow game boy and you know thinking back i mean it was just two of us in the back seat and like you know as an adult i'm thinking like we were just like sharing the screen you know kind of like playing together taking turns but like that tiny little screen um both kind of huddled around it and i remember we were just like burning through batteries just playing that non-stop

I think it was like one gen up from the gray one.

Yes.

And it came with Donkey Kong, which was like the yellow cartridge.

And it was awesome.

they should call these the game and then land.

You know, like, there was, like, Super Mario Land and, like, Donkey Kong Land.

I think it should be, like, Cyberpunk Land.

Shadow of Mordor Land.

Of course, we still got some major holes in that library, the most major being Diddy Kong Racing, but...

I mean, my God, on one system, we can play the original DKC trilogy, the DKL trilogy, Donkey Kong 64, the Banjo-Kazooie duology, and Star Fox Adventures.

That's

pretty good.

Sure.
