And obviously you're pleased going to the fall beginning in 1986.

Well, I am very pleased.

I believe in fall football.

I like class, whatever it might be.

And football is meant to be played in the fall.

We've done amazingly well with the generals.

Our attendance is way up from last year and way, way up from the year before last.

So I do know that it was a

record.

It's a record.

And, you know, with the Hispanics, I want all of the border towns.

You know, they call them the border towns.

I won the whole thing.

Which will probably lower gas prices the lowest for a long time.

If you defy history, if you keep the House and the Senate or become the third in history to do it, what can voters expect for the last two years of your

term? When you're president, whether you're a Republican or Democrat or whether you're a good president or a bad president, you lose the midterms.

Nobody knows why.

So it's been two over 50 years.

There's been two victories by a president that won and then went on to win the midterms.

And one of them was a little bit of a fluke.

And so for some reason, the voters tend to go the other way.

The Russia,

President, that's a time period that most people are completely unaware of, that the imminence was there.

Well, they knew it, but they forget it.

You know, the one thing in politics, like the border.

When I came in, the border, they allowed 25 million people, many of them criminals, many of them murderers, many of them people from mental institutions, drug dealers.

They were pouring into our country totally unchecked and unvetted.

I solved the problem in 30 days and solved it beautifully in 60.

And at the end of 90 days, nobody comes in.

You know, I remember what it looked like before.

It's a deep

cut.

I remember there was a political cartoon in the New York Times, you know, a very liberal newspaper, the New York Times.

This was right around 9-11, you know.

And I remember this very well because of how much I love New York.

And I love this country, you know.

And so they had a political cartoon of Condoleezza Rice.

So you think that he shouldn't hike rates before the

election? It's not totally up to him.

It's up to the board.

I think he's great.

I won't be criticizing him, but I've said many times, you know, in the old days, 20, 25 years ago, call it the old days, If you announce good numbers, the interest rates went down because you were a better credit.

Makes sense, right? Now it's all a different thing.

If you announce great numbers, everybody's depressed because we have great numbers.

Well, but I think they

Well, his lawyers told him to do that.

He probably did the right thing from a legal perspective.

But I will say that, you know, he was there from the 1980s on and I inherited him.

And if you remember, he was very strongly against masks and all of a sudden he changed his mind.

And he did a lot of things.

He was very, very powerfully against some things.

But do you have any idea? Is it a month, a year? How long does it take to resolve what's happening?

And when you look at faith in America and the way you were raised and where we are today, how important is this effort and everything else that you do?

I think religion is a very important thing for our country, especially.

We lost so much and we're going back to it.

You see the numbers of people that are joining the church and everything, they're setting records, just like the military is setting records.

So we had the lowest deployment.

We had the worst numbers of enrollment.

in military in the history of our country two years ago.

I thought it was a pretty good line.

But what is it with Democrats and

passing gas? Well, you look at it, it could have been a lot worse.

It could have ended like Operation Tootsie Roll to Vatican.

You look at that crooked Joe Biden.

He dropped the deuce.

I call it a deuce.

I call it a dookie.

But it's just another... busy day and a busy week for you the situation room meeting the escalations in iran and then having to address save america act and voter and i don't know how you do it all but everybody today is talking about your speech and how you did and how do you think you did

Yeah, that's true.

And, you know, there's people don't know this, but there's alligators up there.

And those in those swamplands, a lot of people think alligators are only in Florida, but they make their way up the coastline.

You know, there's some alligators in Georgia and in South Carolina.

And even parts of North Carolina, you can still find alligators.

I'm not sure, but there may be alligators in the sewers of New York.

But, you know, a lot of people think those are just acts of fiction.

Should Bibi order that those be done away with, just finish the job in Gaza and in Lebanon?

Well, a lot of progress was made with Hamas, and they are disarming.

That doesn't mean they're going to, but a lot of progress was made.

And don't forget, I got all the hostages back, and Hamas did a lot of that work.

Uh, you know, people are amazed, but we had twenty-eight dead people, dead, you know, children, 'cause they call them children, the mom, the moms and dads, and it always ma- it always ama- it shouldn't amaze me, but the people that had a dead son and they knew the son was dead, they wanted that boy back just as much or even more as the people that were trying to get their sons out who were living.

It was amazing.

And we got all twenty-eight back, every single one of them, and everyone's amazed, and we got Hamas to do much of that work.

President Trump says he had just spoken to the senator.

He said he's a little tired.

It was a long trip, you know, many hours.

And he had just gotten back.

And he, I mean, it must have been right after that because I understand the police or whoever it is came there at about, 7.30, 8 o'clock in the evening, something like that.

He called me last night.

He just got back from Ukraine and he had a great trip.

His moment on Brett Kavanaugh was one of the classics, I think, in the history of the Senate.

His moment was literally, I mean literally, one of the great classics of, of anyone in the Senate, when he defended Brett Kavanaugh so brilliantly.

And Brett might not have made it e- except for that.

He was, they were treating him very unfairly.

You are committed to doing this event with the White House Correspondents Dinner that's about freedom of the press?

Will you be disappointed if your new Fed chair, if he gets approved, doesn't cut rates right away?

I would, but let's talk about Iran first.

Uh, IranIf, you, I'm looking at your numbers now as I speak.

I mean, the market's up.

We're gonna be at 50,000.

That's where we were just a little while ago when it started.

And when I hit 50,000 on the Dow and 7,000 on the S&P, I said, "Well, I hate to do this to everybody, but I'm gonna have to journey down to a place called Iran and not- make sure they don't have a nuclear weapon because they will blow up the world." You wanna see a bad stock market? Try blowing up the Middle East, and then Europe, and then they come for us, right? And we're not gonna let that happen.

But-

So, uh, but does it concern you that these tankers aren't getting through, and the one that did get through made its way to China? I, I would think that maybe we'd be stopping these tankers that got through.
