SpaceX has been a massive beneficiary of government contracts doled out by this administration, including a $4.16 billion contract awarded by Space Force to SpaceX weeks before Trump bought those shares.

The statement regarding Trump's stock trades, a White House spokesperson said, "Neither President Trump nor any member of his family has any ability to direct, influence, or provide input regarding how the portfolio is invested or when investments are bought or sold." I want to bring in president and CEO of CREW, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, Donald Sherman.

Donald, I understand that they sort of cut and paste that response every time this issue comes up, but nonetheless, I want to give you a chance to respond to what we heard from the White House.

Well, the president's response is wholly inadequate.

Uh, you couple that, again, with what is happening outside the DC Beltway to everyday Americans struggling for, you know, to pay for gas and groceries and childcare.

This president, meanwhile, has had the most lucrative year of his life in 2025, and the American public are still looking for relief from their government.
