Don McPherson

Dome.

Back when Don McPherson.

Oh, yeah.

Oh, yeah.

They have, like, 12 starting quarterbacks and they're all hurt.

Yeah, no, Don McPherson is starting tomorrow.

I am backing him up.

I'm getting on a plane-

[laughs]

He's one of the quarterbacks I feel the worst for, like, watching.

Yeah.

'Cause, like, he never had a chance.

But back then, the problem was, uh-

Yeah

... they're ha- they had terrible quarterbacks-

Nothing

So, you know, Syracuse was good back then.

Don McPherson, then eventually Paul Pasqualone took over.

But again, that was like three hours from where I grew up.

So I just, you know, I grew up in a world where I was a Steelers fan.

And that's when I wrote Roger Goodell, because now he was commissioner.

And I had met Don McPherson, who was a former NFL quarterback who was doing lots of anti-violence training so don's a great it's just a great advocate a good man and so i'd yeah

he was he was on the show too so i i got you on

that so so i i called don after that murder suicide and i said don will you co-write a letter to goodell with me and so don and i wrote a letter to goodell and and after the super bowl that year in february of 2013 um we got invited to nfl headquarters so don and i went to nfl headquarters and we break through so we didn't get to the commissioner yet we met with okay nfl player engagement i think was the the department and we sat with um some people and talked and um And that became, so from 2013 to July of 2014, I was working with that department internally helping them know who the DV and sexual assault programs were in every NFL city.
