Columbia flew us to New York.

We did a showcase for Don Einer, the president of the label back then.

And Benji Gordon told us not to do it.

We should have listened to him.

um but anyway

uh i don't know how you do that honestly you know what i mean and try to like be organic i don't know a guy

named pablo from columbia saw us play a showcase at so we played south by southwest in 1994 and he was the guy that got us to show and then don einer met came in and met with all of us So, anyway, Benji Gordon, and I told that story because Benji Gordon was the guy that got Soul Asylum's table and was like, we need to sign these guys.

His boss, a guy named David Cain, I think, was his name.
