And despite the fact that Alberta has been run by one party, I would argue that that party has gone through some pretty drastic renewals over the years from Don Getty to Ralph Klein to, you know, we've had some pretty big shifts in Alberta, even though we've had the same party.

And the problem I have with direct democracy is I think if you have a single question on a big issue, you can sometimes get direction.

But let me take the immigration questions.

It's not just the family.

It's not just Don Jr. and what's his name, Eric, and the rest of them, and especially Kirchner, who's getting himself stinking filthy rich.

His dad, by the way, you know.

Jared Kirshner, his dad was actually convicted of tampering and fraud and a whole bunch of other things too.

So that was a more complicated one.

But Peter Lougheed retired by most measures on his own terms, but Don Getty ousted internally.

Ralph Klein, ousted internally.

Ed Stelmach, internal.

It was here when Ralph Klein was Premier.

It was here when Don Getty was Premier.

Um, the only thing that has changed is that we had a premier who chose to bring it into the political mainstream.

She chose to bring it into her party by recruiting those members, you know, bringing them into the leadership race, getting them to back her, and now it has infected all of our politics.

And she wrote about a new generation of blue-eyed cheeks.

She said, these men have strengthened resolutely their position, making moves that have caused complaints that they're covert separatists.

Now as for me, my own connection to Alberta began before I started tucking into that order of fries at Peter's drive-in.
