Don Bosco Preparatory High School

I think that's, uh, it, like how can you...

You can't tell me that, because how does like certain teams then able to kinda enter the mix when it comes to r- national rankings or player rankings or anything else? Like, uh, Bergen Catholic, Don Bosco Prep.

You got a buncha New Jersey schools that are really good, and there'd probably be people that would tell me, "But Andy, they've been good for years." Well, okay.

So you're telling me New Jersey's isolated, or Pennsylvania's isolated from the rest of that mid-Atlantic, uh, northeast region where there's probably good football players there as well.

Trey Taliaferro taking on, on behalf of Bergen Catholic, Trey Taliaferro and the Bergen Catholic Crusaders taking on their most heated rival.

This is one of the most iconic rivalry series in the region, Bergen Catholic versus Don Bosco Prep.

So let's roll the highlights.

Let's show you what went down.

84th all-time meeting between Bergen Catholic and Don Bosco Prep.

Again, one of the region's great high school football rivalries.

Don Bosco, the state's top-ranked team, 23rd in the nation coming into this game.

I mean, just talent all over the place.

But Taliaferro understands that where c- where he can make the most of a defense's weaknesses and best expose their vulnerabilities is just by hanging in the pocket, going through his progressions, finding open receivers, and picking up chunk gains through the air.

And you saw that Saturday as Bergen Catholic dug themselves into a 24-nothing hole against Don Bosco Prep, and then Taliaferro just straight up firebombed his way out of it.

Like, threw a touchdown pass shortly before the half to cut the deficit to 24-7.

Credit to the Bergen Catholic defense, 'cause they t- tightened up in the second half as well, but threw another touchdown pass in the third quarter to cut it to 24-14.

They asked me

he hasn't had a fumble.

Wild multitasking right now.
