In the third round, they get Dominique Orange.

Um, two rookies along that defensive line as well.

We'll see what they can do, but it's going to be a, a challenge up front.

And then Brian Flores told us that he does have a plan to use Caleb Banks in this game.

I mean, he doesn't have to tell us the truth or the plan, but if he is telling the truth, then I want to know what the plan is for Caleb Banks and Dominique Orange, and how much those guys are going to be active in this game, because the Packers will stick with the run even if they don't have Josh Jacobs in there.

How do they respond to that? Because if you let them run, then it's gonna be a huge problem.

But the run defense will be, uh, something I'm, I'm watching very, very closely-

I think Banks is unplayable against the run at this point, and the only role that he could possibly have is, uh, on third down.

yeah i i do think they've played for continuity year after year in terms of having one-for-one substitutions on the offensive line and i think they'd continue to put a fairly significant premium on that might even be more as the season rolls on which might make it difficult for posick to get in there and uh and play now they could he's a long time veteran he could he could certainly be uh put it in practice i just don't think there's gonna be a lot of impetus to do it either You know, we mentioned the reasons Gwynn wanted to obviously really had that outstanding game versus Philadelphia.

He blocked Dominique Orange to the ground directly from the line of scrimmage.

It's so rare.

I have to even mention this again.

Kayla Banks is one, talented, but very injured defensive lineman.

Dominique Orange is another one, certainly of interest to Packers fans, especially since the Packers passed on him fairly directly to draft Chris McClellan.

Then they have Chuck Demings, my favorite defensive back in this class, for number three.

Interesting prospects to be sure.

Tierney Ingram Dawkins appears to be your starting other edge.

How much will Dominique Orange play? How much will Caleb Banks play? And how much will Elijah Williams play? It will not surprise me if Elijah Williams gets more snaps than both Orange and Banks.

It won't surprise me that much if Orange doesn't play a ton because it's a nose tackle and the Vikings aren't going to do a ton, likely a ton of nose tackle snaps, even though they played a ton of base last year.

But I'm curious if that evolves out of base because of what their personnel looks like.

Get into why you are optimistic about this team this year.

Yeah, I j- I just think [coughs] they've added a, a lot of good young players in the draft, and starting with Caleb Banks and Dominique Orange on the, on the defensive line, who I think will play a role in, in the rotation starting this week, and will play an important role, because the Packers are gonna wanna run the ball, even without Josh Jacobs.

Uh, Marshawn Lloyd is their backup running back, and, and they're gonna wanna try to establish a running game to take the pressure off, off of Jordan Love.

Uh, if they can't run the ball, it's gonna certainly be to the Vikings advantage, so that VanGinkel, Turner, and, and company, uh, including Harrison Smith on blitzes, Blake Cashman and Eric Wilson are gonna be key guys on the blitz and in run defense, and in coverage of, of Tucker Kraft, who's a very talented receiver.

I'm talking Jalen Redmond, we know he's a proven player at this point.

Big year for him coming into a potential contract year as a restricted free agent.

Levi Drake Rodriguez, Tyrion Engrin-Dawkins, uh, and they've got the two draft choices, Caleb Banks and Dominique Orange.

Elijah Williams did some good things in preseason.
