Dominic West

Mm-hmm.

And I enjoyed the first episode of the new HBO legal drama War, starring Dominic West as a, as a tech billionaire who wants to divorce his wife, played by Sienna Miller.

Uh, but I believe Zoe actually mentioned this on the show the other day, so I'm gonna say the other thing I've been enjoying this week is the resurgence, uh, not of Doctor Who, but of Doctor Who gossip.

Oh.

So for those that don't know what it's about, it's a new Sky series, and as I say, it stars Sienna Miller.

She plays a Hollywood movie star, Violet Duval, who wants to divorce her husband, a social media billionaire, Morgan Henderson, who's played by Dominic West.

And as the divorce gets underway, it sparks a battle between two of London's biggest law firms, Cathcart and Taylor & Byrne, who'll stop at nothing to secure a win for their respective clients, I think hence the title War.

Uh, it's a fun, fast-paced, like, very glossy, super easy watching, a bit trashy, but I think really well-cast thriller.

It was As You Like It.

So they had, like, this history, which Sienna said in The Guardian interview made it easier for them to play these roles together.

Dominic West was cast first, and George Kay actually wrote the role with him in mind.

Interesting.

There are parts of it that I liked.

I like Dominic West, but I like Pip Torrens, who was in Preacher.

Do you remember? He's like the bald guy.

Yes, I know.

I didn't love it, but I was like, this is a solid Thursday night show.

And I, I think that they did it a real service by not making it a Sunday show.

not having it be the lanterns replacement and just having it be like a competent show storing Dominic West, et cetera.

Obviously because of the dominant West of it all, I got real big via fair vibes from this.

Mm

... with Sienna Miller and Dominic West.

How is it? Is it delicious?

It's...

... stunning.

Do you think she got a facelift?

I don't know, but also Dominic West is-

They're both so hot

Written by Nick Santora, Art Marcum, and Matt Holloway.

Starring Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, uh, Julie Benz, Colin Salmon, Doug Hutchinson, Dash Mihok, and Wayne Knight.

I wouldn't call this, call it a star-studded cast, but... [laughs]

Well, there's Wayne Knight, isn't there?

Uh, I think he's having a fun time.

[laughs]

Dominic West.

But, uh, also I do like the makeup on Jigsaw in this movie.

Good show, good show.

Dominic West from The Wire is in it.

Um, good legal thriller.

It's up, it is up your alley specifically.

Then they switch over to Dominic, sorry, um-

...

Dominic West's, um, law a- firm.

Yes, you're right.

And they were like, he was like, "We actually hired this kid and he's gonna go in and do this." So he's a double agent.

She's just a, she's so fricking beautiful and gorgeous, and I just, I love her.

I think she's quite a good actress as well.

Ode is trained on Seacart's own voice to prescribe a poem.

Every poem is read aloud by a real actor, Stephen Fry, Harriet Walter, Dominic West and Indira Varma among them.

Together, Mark and Mark give us the industry-wide picture, both circling the same question creative directors are still grappling with, AI or human

voice?

the power of a human voice talking to you when you are not feeling great.

Or you might be feeling great, but you want to focus in on deep nuance and deep feeling.

So we have some wonderful people like Stephen Fry, Indira Varma, Dominic West, a whole range of actors who agreed to their readings being supplied for this.

So it's completely free.
