Domenico Tedesco

He's been at Fiorentina, he's been at Monza, he's been at Atalanta.

He's replaced Domenico Tedesco.

Now, Bologna took just a point from their first four Serie A games.

They lost 1-0 at Napoli at the weekend.

The truth is here, Jack, that when I look at Domenico Tedesco, still a young man, you know, still in his early 40s, still got a lot of years left in him as a coach if he wants it.

I think he needs to take a look at how he's doing things because this is a guy, when he came through, Edske, Birger, Auer and then Schalke, he seemed to get it.

He seemed to really understand Schalke as a club.

It looks like they're going to have a very, very long, hard season.

They've employed Domenico Tedesco.

He's one of those managers that I just don't know how he keeps getting jobs because he doesn't seem to do a great job anywhere.

And I'm going to take Napoli here to win this game against the Bologna team who've had a winless start to Serie A so far.

Domenico Tedesco, the German, was born in Italy, coached in Germany for a long time.

And then Vincenzo Italiano, born in Germany, coached in Italy for a long time.

He was born in Germany.

But his replacement is someone called Domenico Tedesco.

Right.

Which, when translated in Italian, means Dominic German.

Uh, but Laurens Jan says, "I don't think this has been mentioned yet," and you're absolutely right.

"But Domenico Tedesco just replaced Vincenzo Italiano as head coach of Italian First Division football team Bologna." Oh, maybe you did mention this, Andy.

The interesting thing about this, as if what I already said wasn't interesting enough, is that Tedesco means German in Italian, and Italiano means Italian.

There was not too much quality on display, especially in the first half.

It's a Bologna team that's coached now by Domenico Tedesco, and they were trying to do a lot of new things, trying to build out of the back without their three most, uh, important players of last season.

Jonathan Rowe started on the bench because he is expected to make a move either to Atalanta or to Roma.

Then, of course, they lost Santiago Castro, who went to Roma, and then Lukeba, who went to Juventus.

Do you remember the days when he was the next be- best thing since sliced bread, Lewis? Um, you know, Tibor Kulcsar won't agree with me there, but, uh, at the end of the day, I think he's a pretty good manager hire.

I think he's gonna get the most out of the team.

Now they lose Santiago Castro, uh, Freuler, Lukeba, Dalingo, all players that are leaving this summer and I'm a little bit scared for this Bologna team.
