Dollar Rent A Car

We got in the SUV to take us to Uncle Vinny's, the club that was another 100 miles away.

And about 25 miles in, Mike gets a text from Dollar Rental Car that goes, you took the keys.

We don't have the keys.

You didn't leave the keys in the car.

[upbeat music]Our third story takes place in Louisville, Kentucky.

That's where Jonathan Palmer recently rented a car from Dollar Car Rental.

When he returned it, he says an agent walked around to inspect it for damage and said he was good to go.

But a couple of hours later-

... do not...

Dollar Rental Car is also, uh, they're in the same building.

Do not go to Dollar-

[laughs]

And so David recorded the license plates and went on to report what he had found.

When authorities ran the plate, they discovered that the minivan had been rented from Dollar Car Rental and reported stolen from Los Angeles, more than 250 miles away.

And the last people known to have rented it were four German tourists.

34-year-old Egbert Rimkus, his 11-year-old son Georg Weber, Egbert's 28-year-old girlfriend Connie Meyer, and her 4-year-old son Max.
