Doki Doki Panic

Did you guys know that...

That Super Mario Bros. 2 is a reskin of Doki Doki Panic.

Alright, you're done.

Mega Man, what's your

Hey!

Which was not really a Mario game because it was a reskinned game called Doki Doki Panic in Japan, which we knew.

Yes.

So it was Mario 2.

Ducky ducky.

Doki doki panic.

Okay.

Really good

And so we taxied and that was fun.

And then we ended up like they had the disc writer version of Doki Doki Panic.

Um, which, so it's basically like, you know, the, the Famicom disc plus a black and white instruction sheet.

Um, and so I'm like, Oh, I don't have that.

See, I know stuff, Travis.

Doki Doki Panic.

We're not the only video game knower around here.

Yeah.

But this Game Boy Advanced port is both visually appealing and pretty much bugless.

So, as everybody knows, Super Mario Brothers 2 is a skin of Doki Doki Panic, a game released in Japan for the NES.

That being a very strange and not very Mario-like game at the time has now spawned a lot of stuff that we now just associate straight up with Mario, like Shy Guys, the Bob-ombs.

Mario 2's a really interesting game.

What about you g- how do you feel about reproduction games?

Well, I mean, I, I, I got, just got, um, a game on the Delta e- emulator that is Doki Doki Panic, but it's, uh, but it's Super Mario Brothers.

So they just put the Doki Doki Panic characters on the Super Mario Brothers, otherwise it's just Super Mario Brothers 2.

Mm.

So I don't mind that.

I wish, I would rather play Doki Doki Panic 'cause it's a little bit harder, if I'm being honest.

I don't, I don't-

Sure

I

also heard, did you know that Super Mario Bros. 2 is not actually the Japanese Super Mario Bros.? Wait, what? Yeah, it's actually a game called Doki Doki Panic.

Did you know

this? Wow! And it was made for a festival, and they used the design?
