Dog lovers in Lakeshore now have a place to send Fido and Fifi.

Executive Director Community Services Vanessa Stratton says a new dog park is open at the Atlas Tube Recreation Center.

We're just really happy that it's gonna be a place where everybody can come, dogs of all sizes, people everywhere.

It'll be a great spot to, uh, to gather.

Oh gosh, so much to say.

If you've at all worked with a trainer, many trainers will say that you should never take your dog to a dog park.

Okay, well, short podcast, but good.

I'm glad we got that solved.

Yep, moving right along to the quick, no, just kidding.

And then there's a lot of people that do take their dogs to dog parks.

So that's confusing, isn't it?

Okay, so obviously we've got a little bit of a disconnect here in opinion.

And so they leave their droppings, you know, they leave behind parasites, including hookworm and others.

They also, you know, dog parks are a huge sentinel for intestinal parasites.

And so, yeah, let's talk about this.

So this episode is going to be kind of all about you there, Maggie, but this is for everybody out there.

I'm going to tell you this.

I want to say it was Elanco many years ago did a random study.

They visited 3,300 dog parks across the country, and they just randomly grabbed poop.

They sampled poop, and they found that this is going to blow your mind.

It really does... showcase the strength of that show when it's on its game and and same thing with this the renfrew episode was great like it was very very funny um there's a good little nick kroll bit where he's a a renfrew pimp which is very funny just as an idea it's like oh yeah he's like you know you you you uh you spend time with my wench nay my trick if you will like you know kind of stuff um So, yeah, I think the show is still going strong, especially any other shows that make it 18 seasons.

While Cork County Council has looked into the proposal, even checking out the pilot dog park, which is at the Ballincolloch Regional Park, they say there's currently no budget available in the Canterham-Mallow Municipal District to cover the cost of a dog park.

The Ballincolloch facility says Seemingly costs around €60,000 to construct.
