Dodge Omni

Fuck yeah.

She shows up in your, what was your brother's car? Oh, fuck, a Dodge Omni.

Yeah, she shows up in that.

Yeah.

You had to park in the neighborhoods, and it was all parallel parking, and we'd, you know, we'd be desperate to get to the game on time, so you'd see a space.

And at the time I was driving my parents' Plymouth Horizon-

[laughs]

... which is a hatchback little piece of crap.

mean, he had like 60 Chevrolet Fins welded on.

It's like a Dodge Omni.

Those little square cars that was out there.

But the engineer, he had a big block motor in it.

They deserve to be offended.

If, if an '80s Charger is on your hit list like my Omni, uh-

He's kinda talking ba- crash on himself, you know?

Oh, absolutely.

You deserve to be called out.

I, I mean, if, if Dodge Omni, you know, GL- HS or SH is, you know...

That, you deserve to be called out.

Apparently.

Plymouth Horizon, Ford Tempo.

I mean, there was nothing performance in my family.

Uncles had Volkswagens and Hondas.

So, you know, my mom actually kind of is sort of a part of it always because, so she was a social worker in Detroit and, you know, married to this Chrysler marketing executive, and so we always had cars that no one else had.

And so my first car memory of, like, being in a car is my mom drove this, like, Dodge Omni, which was this little hatchback, and it was the GLH Carroll Shelby version.

And she was always, like, kind of like a speedy driver, so here she was, like, the suburban mom zipping us around in this little Omni.

And I think there was probably something subconscious about that that I learned, that she kind of liked the ability to sort of zip past people at lights.

The fire was not the only event taking place close to her home that night.

A brown Plymouth Horizon was stolen a couple blocks from her apartment complex and was never recovered.

There is no proof that this auto theft is related to Carla's disappearance.

Extensive air and ground searches also failed to produce any clues to Carla's whereabouts.
