This was the, basically the beginning of Triple H's, uh, NXT world domination plan to basically have an NXT entity in every country in the fucking world.

So yeah, how did that go, mate? Also, the tag titles fucking mean something? What are you on about? It's DIY.

It's, uh, Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano.

They've got a rematch against current champs, the Authors of Pain.

They're closing the show tonight in a ladder match, so [laughs] hmm, I wonder what's gonna happen here.

DIY tried and failed to win their first rematch at the previous TakeOver in an elimination three-way, which included The Revival, now known as FTR.

Love them, don't we? And, uh, this feels like sort of DIY's last full attempt to reclaim the gold, basically.

So that's how we've gotten there.

Okay, so I rather like Ridge Holland so far and mojo raleigh's like my least favorite wrestler since the ultimate warrior so I'm going to have to think long and hard about that.

Number four, I know they didn't want to go up the main roster in the past, and I know Gargano and Champ are too small for Vince to care about as singles workers, but what would you think about reuniting DIY to give the Usos, Street Profits, New Day, and the War Raiders a new team to work with? I know personally DIY was one of my favorite acts ever in NXT, and would love to see a reunion on the main roster.

I could see that.

Like, I could see their success existing as a team... on the main roster, but I just don't know, like, the rugged, rough-and-tumble style of Ciampa especially.

They might end up having to go to the main roster or quit if they don't want to or something.

That said...

I would love, love, love, love to see DIY reunite.

They're one of my favorite tag teams of all time.

So Ciampa, like, uh, his, uh, on-again, off-again tag partner, John Gargano, who we'll talk about more in a little bit, had two main roster call-ups.

So the first was February 18th of 2019 when despite the fact that Ciampa and Gargano were still in the midst of their feud at NXT, they were called up as DIY the main roster briefly.

It was them, and it was Ricochet and Aleister, both as tag teams.

Um, but finally-

Why are they getting called up as a t-..." That was insane.

It was.

Uh, at least DIY had that history as a tag team, but then they were still in NXT, and they had to figure out, "How do we act around each other?"

Exactly.
