Divine Deablo

Well, J.D. Bertrand, compared to Braylon Trice, might as well be the roadrunner.

But Jeff, with all due respect, can we get Kendall Daniels, Harold Perkins, Divine Diablo? That's the three linebackers on the field at the same time.

You know, again, this is why you have Christian Harris.

So I feel like you have better options than Braylon tries acting as that third linebacker.

But our last two points are not about the defense.

They're special teams nitpicks.

Why is Divine Diablo covering punts instead of Harold Perkins? Please, I hope someone who's going to be at Craig Ackerman's presser later this week, please ask him that question.

And then also asking the question, why isn't Zachariah Branch out there for every single kickoff return? Right.

We saw Harold Perkins on the field for this team.

Divine Deablo, as always, was just kind of a presence all over the place, and it feels like opposing, especially backs and, you know, guys he's tackling just kind of bounce off of him the wrong way.

So positive for Divine Deablo and how big and physical he is.

So I, I think you have to like what you saw from this Falcons team on defense, and if they, they, they can get that kind of defensive level throughout the year, then this should be a defense that gives their offense the opportunity to win games.

And they probably will beat a lot of teams.

In contrast, the defense added some beef up front with Deshaun Hand coming off of, you know, a big year as a run stopper there with the Chargers.

They also bring in uh sam j trade for javon dexter some interior juice there with them losing greater jared um they're taking a flyer on samuel ubu cam who tore his achilles in 2025 i think he had eight and a half sacks there in 2024 zadarius smith played five games with philadelphia in 2025 i think he had nine sacks in 2024 but the team also bringing new linebackers of um as part of parting ways with Caden Elis, who went through another team, bringing in a favorite of mine from Las Vegas, a guy Patrick Graham is familiar with in Divine Diablo and Christian Harris.

Not much change there, though, in the secondary, but we'll get into that group a little bit later as they've got some studs there.

But this is just a team that I think Pittsburgh matches up well against, given their structure and their newness on their coaching staff.

I think that's in – that's in part why they let – Grady Jericho was sort of the emergence of Brandon Dorless, and Pittsburgh's going to need to lock him up on the interior, but not really too many guys that strike fear into me as a passer.

But Dorless, also a great run stuffer as well.

Divine Diablo is another player to watch in the middle.

Physical downhill linebacker, really fast as well.

Okay, now at linebacker, we've been talking about it.

We projected it, and it is Divine Deablo shown with Kendrell Daniels on the depth chart as the starting linebackers.

However, what we saw is Kendrell Daniels on run downs, Harold Perkins on pass downs.

So that's where you gotta be real careful about reading the depth charts.

I mean, you're gonna see a lot of people post, "Oh, Kendrell Daniels starting next to Deablo." Kendrell Daniels will probably play 60% of the snaps maybe if that rotation continues.

Sean, any disagreement what I just spoke on there?

No, uh, I'm excited he's listed as starter, but like you said, we know better.

Not a ton of things.

I don't even know what to, to take out of it other than Kendall Daniels, the rookie, is listed as the starting inside linebacker next to Divine Deablo.

Oh, boy.

So we'll see how much work he gets.
