I remember back in the day, there used to be memes about Divergent being like, what was so great about Divergent is that there was so little world building.

She stripped the dystopian down to its barest form.

That it like ended dystopian because it was so bad, whatever, whatever, which I don't agree with.

But I've got to say, even though like this book makes Divergent look like the Lord of the Rings in terms of world building and depth and story.

this is a very surface level dystopian.

It doesn't have a lot of like unique standout features that are like even themes until much later in the book where you've already lost my trust, which is why I think Peyton's point is so good because in Romanticy, like we had these same characters and had the bulk of your story been this like romance between a prince and a princess from like rivaling kingdoms, right? I would have believed how quickly the couple got together.
