We are gonna be chatting about Cult of Luna's post-metal landmark Somewhere Along the Highway, a road dog of noughties metallic hardcore, Walls of Jericho and The American Dream, the returning jock power violence of Weekend Nachos' Worthless, and getting our fucking brains turned to jelly by The Berserker and Dissimulate.

We are all gonna be at Damnation again in about a month's time.

Are we excited to see this bunch?

[laughs] Finally, last of all, and where we traditionally tend to go, even in like a all sort of underground music pack like this one for Damnation, our craziest, grottiest, most underground extreme thing tends to come last.

I'm very happy that we're able to live up to that this year.

I will have to... wrangle my calendar and see if i can make it but i bloody want to because like i said i've been waiting for that 16 horsepower announcement hell yeah back to other me in terms of what else is going on with us this week like i said at the start of this show if you missed it you don't even have to go to the patreon or anything to go find this you can just go to the very previous you know podcast in the feed you are listening to me on right now uh the damnation album club pack that we just did where we spoke about somewhere along the highway from koto luna which is an absolute you know benchmark of 21st century post metal uh we spoke about the american dream by walls of jericho which i had a really good time revisiting after don't know how long it is since i've actually like heard that record but i was really you know buoyed by how how well it's aged i suppose um and a rare chance to see and talk about walls of jericho at that nation coming up The returning instances of two then bands coming forth as well in this album club pack, Weekend Nachos and The Berserker, both appearing in the UK soon for the first time in a long time with both of them returning from hiatuses, but doing their albums Worthless from Weekend Nachos and Dissimulate from The Berserker.

weekend nachos worthless is a real favorite of mine and we went i mean considering the album's like 26 minutes long or something we went fairly lengthy on it and really like tried to dissect all the surprising amount that is going on in an album like like worthless by weekend nachos from the guest uh features which you are definitely going to want to hear even if you've never heard of weekend nachos before because i trust that you will have heard of the people involved on this record um also stylistically as well and then the berserker is just good to talk about some fucking mental music every now and then you go what were they thinking when they created this in a good way in a you are you are tougher and scarier than we are way gabber australian death metal hell yeah that is like i said available for you to hear right now um in the main feeds as well as on the patreon if you do want to support us on the patreon we are of course in the midst of doing our rush band special we have our recently completed black breath one part band special as well if you're a nails fan for example from me talking about them at the start of this episode That's the most relevant to that.

And as we look to the future, over the next month or so, we are going to be looking to continue the Rush special when we can.
