Disney Skyliner

Yeah.

Yeah, it was just theming, Skyliner.

And I think it's worth saying, though, that this trip that we just came back from, it started as a five-day trip to Disneyland Paris.

It did.

that long walk out of Hollywood Studios.

That walk out of Hollywood Studios is so long as well.

Skyliner takes the edge off, but then obviously...

It was down.

So many of these deluxe resorts offer extra modes of transportation.

I'm just thinking about the Skyliner, or not the Skyliner, which it does go to the Riviera.

So the Riviera does offer you the Skyliner.

I meant to say the monorail.

The monorail resorts are obviously probably the most famous deluxe resorts because you can see them across the way from Magic Kingdom.

that we have been there so many times and we are very lucky that we have and we know the park so well and we know the property so well that we can also spitball ideas with cast members and think through things and think out logistics where I know, like, you know, again, this has to be a whole episode.

If the Skyliner is broken down because of rain and some people are ending up in the beach club going, how do I get back to my hotel? I can't imagine being that, you know, Being those guests who are like, I thought this was the way I travel around Disney because I'm staying at Pop Century and that's a Skyliner resort.

Now, how do I get back? And just having no idea what to do next.

That has to be like kind of scary and overwhelming.

We weren't looking to parkeology all day.

We were looking to hit some certain things.

So it was just odd that it was more complicated than anticipated, even though the night before, this is how we know that the Skyliner guests were having trouble in the Beach Club lobbies because Mr. Snydillo and I were going, can you just, like, walk through the minivan? Like, well, you got to show up and order one.

I was like really not until then like not and like we don't know for sure and it just seemed very vague and not specific and that was surprising.

But the amount of time we had, I thought this one seemed like the best combination of accessibility and scenery to fit into our time domain.

And once we bo-boarded the gondola, think Disney Skyliner, but bigger and better and a whole lot steeper and longer.

The gondola ride was unbelievable.

The best I've ever taken by far.

So let's just say Port Orleans, Riverside.

And once you hit Search, then you'll be given all of the transportation options it'll tell you exactly how long they will take so we can see here we either have the option to take a bus or we could take the boat over from port orleans riverside to disney springs and so you could do the same thing if you are at the riviera for example so let's say you're at the riviera and you were trying to get to epcot then you can just update your search from the Riviera to Epcot and you'll see of course the Skyliner is going to be your only form of transportation to get there and so it'll actually pick up your GPS when you're in Disney and it'll actually give you walking directions to get to the Skyliner and you'll be able to kind of track your location so that you can see where where you are and where you're heading within the parks

Yeah.

If you are new to Disney, that is such an amazing feature to be able to get step-by-step directions from one location to the next, because that is one of the most overwhelming things I find clients worry about in advance.

So, so I think it's always like, I think the key there is always, right? If you are going and you're like, "We wanna hit the parks.

This is a parks-focused trip," then yeah, stay at Pop Century and you're still on the Skyliner and stuff like that or whatever.

Yeah.

But if you're gonna do like a, a more relaxed like our, the trip we have coming up in November, we wanted, you know, we did upgrade a little bit where we're staying because we're gonna have more time at the resort and stuff like that.

Not necessarily the fanciest resort, but the right location.

For example, if you know your family is going to spend a lot of time at Epcot and Hollywood Studios, staying somewhere on Crescent Lake or on the Skyliner can make your days so much easier because they are closer to those parks.

If Magic Kingdom is your priority and you have little ones who still nap, staying on the monorail or somewhere with easy transportation can be incredibly convenient.

Sometimes paying a little more isn't about luxury, it's just about making your vacation less stressful.
