I picked up a sort of compilation CD somewhere around about 96 or 97 maybe and just couldn't believe the stripped down raw brutality of something like it was so raw the storytelling in The Butcher and Fast Eddie is just some of the best rock and roll lyricism you've ever read up there of course with the Lemmys and the Bonds but there was something about Rose Tattoo when I first sat down and listened to them it was so Australian as the Destroyer guy said to me you know You look back on, say, Dirty Deeds, Dunder, Cheap, the ACDC album, and even though Rose Tattoo were produced by Vanda and Young and I think on the same, the record label owned by the, well, connected to ACDC, Alberts and Sons, I guess.
