If you could tell me that story, what happened here and maybe why that matters and what that has led to.

So this is a story that precedes the 7th of October.

It goes back to the late spring of 2021. when I'd been observing serial cancellation and attacks on friends and colleagues, some of them Jewish as well, who wrote on Holocaust memory.

For example, Michael Rothberg, a prominent American literary scholar, wrote a book called Multidirectional Memory, already in 2009, I think.

It was eventually translated in German in 2019, 20 or so.
