The National Director of Public Prosecutions, Advocate Anne Mutibi, has welcomed the judgment by the Mpumalanga Division of the High Court in Middleburg, which sets aside the contempt of court conviction and warrants of arrest issued against state prosecutor, Advocate Mkusele Ntaba.

Ntaba had been found in contempt of court after failing to appear in the Joe Simonyoni case, is MPA spokesperson Kaisa Kanyahu.

The High Court found that there was no justifiable basis for the conviction of the prosecutor for attempt of court.
