And with all the injuries Michigan State has at linebacker, uh, Jordan Hall is out, uh, um, Caleb Wheatland is out, and Brady Pretzoff is out for this game.

You know, your, your only true contributor that you have at linebacker available is Dion Crawford, and then it's Cam Stodgill and Demari Malone.

You know, Demari Malone's a younger guy.

Cam Stodgill, he's experienced, but he's an FCS transfer on the lighter side as well for a linebacker.

Uh, Brady Pretzeloff has missed a game.

Caleb Wheatland has missed a game, and Dion Crawford has missed a game.

Your top four linebackers have all missed a game at some point, and multiple of them will may be out for this coming Saturday against Northwestern.

Uh, we'll have to see.

There's been moments where I've really liked him.

There's been moments where I haven't.

Same kind of goes for Dion Crawford and Cu- Caleb Wheatland.

I think consistency is a bit of a struggle with this group, but you have to hope that they get healthy sooner rather than later, uh, because, you know, uh, in late in that Illinois game, it was Cam Stodgill, uh, who they kind of want to use as a DB hybrid linebacker and DB, and Damari Malone, uh, kind of as your starting linebackers late in that one against the Fighting Illini, which, [smacks lips] you know, Malone's inexperienced.

Illinois only two penalties beside the onside kick call they took, a way that is down, uh, on five people behind the line." Yeah, and you know what? Like, the, the block in the back to, you know, for Michigan State on the game tying touchdown, which they ended up scoring anyway, that was a fine call.

But yeah, I almost think that the missed call, too, which Dion Crawford walked off the field with an injury with, was, uh, may- maybe the most egregious call outside of the onside kick.

Guy was three yards out of bounds, and then he gets pushed in the back right into Dion Crawford, and yep, there goes our fourth linebacker out.

So yeah, there we go again.

There we go again, guys.

Brady Pretlov I think had a brace on his, uh, shoulder or something and he was playing through.

Uh, like, and Dion Crawford was questionable.

Trey Bell anoth- your other starting corner, uh, he, he, he was questionable, uh, in the l- in the, in the week leading up to the game.

Like, there's been, there's been injuries even more so on the defense.

Not great.

At linebacker, Jordan Hall is doubtful, and then Brady Pretzlaff, Dion Crawford, and Cam Staggill are questionable.

So you have four linebackers who get snaps on this defense are also, they could play, but Jordan Hall, doubtful, probably indicates he probably won't play.

And then, um, Pretzlaff, Crawford, Staggill, who, who knows? Uh, [laughs] so like, uh, this could be, maybe you get some of those guys back, maybe you don't.

We already talked about Jordan Hall.

Now Brady Pretzloff, Dion Crawford, they are questionable.

Hopefully they can play, but if not, it's Caleb Wheatland, and then a redshirt freshman, Damari Malone, getting [laughs] the, the reins there.

Also Cam Stodgill ruled out for this game.

... um, you know, uh, understands when to go and when to stop and, um, you know, when to make certain decisions.

Like, uh, Dion Crawford is, is, looks solid in, in sort of the, the filling in for Hall at times.

Mm-hmm.

And, um, uh, when you look at, at Hanney, he's probably more of a guy you want going downhill, right? Um, so maybe there's something they can do putting him in there to, to pressure Calandria and, um, you know, maybe as a spy or however you'd work it.

You're able to contain him.

However you do it, whether you're throwing a spy on him, is Dion Crawford the spy? You're going to bring Cam Stodgill closer, have him be the spy because he's a little speedier.

So, look, you are fortunate, though, that you do have a very experienced duo in Kansas.

Caleb Wheatland, a guy that, you know, was at Maryland forever, then transferred to Auburn last year and has had a solid start to the year this season.

And even Dion Crawford, a guy that played forever at Buffalo.

And I do wonder if they bring in Cam Stodgill.
