Dinner theater

The Eureka community players were having auditions.

They were doing a production of West Side Story at Manny's Dinner Theater.

This was my dream role.

I'd been doing theater a long time.

Clearly, this was going to be a first-class production.

We had a cast.

Now, let me tell you about Manny's Dinner Theater.

The stage at Manny's Dinner Theater was about the size of your standard open mic platform at a coffee shop, and the lighting system was a bunch of high beam flashlights duct taped to the ceiling at dramatic angles, with a few of them having colored tissue paper taped in front for real effect.

So I have worked at the Dinner Theatre for years with Scott, and it's true.

He, he was not gonna break.

He was always very serious, and he took the job very serious.
