Yeah,

what does it mean when I say the whole workforce is integrated? And it's not just, like you said, just another technology.

AI at its core is to be understood as something that, when it came in, it was something that could take over your grunt work, your routine work, work that you did not like to do and free you up.

to do better things.

That was the initial premise of AI.

And people could do that by augmenting themselves with AI.

So the way to succeed with AI is for a person to get training on how to use it and then maybe use that AI just to do all the grunt work and then sit back and think about higher level things.

So how do I track this and where I should be focusing the most in these metrics?

But what is the reality today from your point of view?

Let me start with the jobs disappearing part.

Right now, a lot of the jobs that have been lost in the tech sector are not really because of AI.

It's because AI has been primarily used as an excuse.

And in some way, AI has been responsible because companies have chosen to invest every available cent into AI development.

So it's kind of taking away the amount that they could be spending on employees.

I am not a purveyor of guilt or fear or doom and gloom.

But you're saying, no, hold on, hold your horses.

Why is it wrong to ask that question, in your opinion, which you alluded to earlier?

Because that question, usually the answer to that question comes in the form of a bunch of skills.

And currently what people, the big narrative is, oh, you learn how to use AI, you learn to use this tool, that tool.

There are a million training programs out there that will teach you this.

But that's really kicking the can down the road.

Six months later, well, if you ask me what I think is going to happen in the next couple of years, products may not exist.

It's all going to be AI.

So how would we know how to update? Well, now the software or the AI in general would be able to tell me that there is a new update i don't even have to tell it there is a new update from the government there's a new policy order there's a new law from taxes and i went ahead and updated the rules automatically and then everything is there all this to say is that what you're promoting is open open your eyes knows what know what you're good at and try to figure out what am i good at and trying to continuously improve that am i did i get that right absolutely

So as you finished with your master's and with young ones, where did your life take you?

Uh, uh, it was quite challenging at the time.

I'm an immigrant.

Um, uh, I moved from India at the time, and I'm talking more than 25, 26 years ago.

And, um, yeah, it was, uh...

I ended up finding a job at, uh, Oracle in the Bay Area, and, uh, I had to make that move from South Dakota all the way to Oracle, and I did that.

And, uh, yeah, from then on, I worked at big companies like Oracle, Salesforce, Intuit, Atlassian.
