So without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, we will now move to the next panel discussion, which is titled Sharia Oversight in the Age of AI and Digital Banking.

And I think this is a very, very pertinent topic to be discussed here today.

As all of us are aware, disruptive technologies are changing the way the financial service industry operates.

Whether it is artificial intelligence, automation, digital banking, smart contracts, or other technologies, these are fundamentally reshaping how institutions develop products, manage risk, deliver services, and all aspects of their operations, including Sharia governance processes.

Take AI, for example.

It has the potential to support different aspects of Sharia governance, but over-reliance on AI can expose institutions to issues related to credibility, reliability, accountability, and transparency.

These are no longer future concepts.
