We're joining digs from across the country to give us an insight into the lives of those who lived and fought during the war from the physical evidence they left behind.

I've come to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, It was from this airfield that the first Spitfires took off for the Battle of Britain in July 1940.
